Okay I'm pleased with this route. Picked it from Google Maps and its perfect on distance with the added bonus of no Prom Wind (Wahey!!).
Started off left onto Park Road this time and down Dovepoint road and onto Birkenhead road. Up the hill over past Meols railway station and all the way along the Meols stretch to just past the BP garage.
Turned left here onto Carr Lane and all the way along there to the railway line where I had to stop to check for trains. Then over the railway line continuing on Carr Lane until meeting back up with Park Road and then home.
Ok now I didnt feel too bad for most of the run. It only started to feel like really hard work after crossing the railway line and the last bit.
Good news. No sore throat and no cough!!!
Route: Google Pedometer
Start Time: 17:00
Duration: 23:53
Distance: 4.74 km
Avg Speed: 11.91 kph
Quite pleased with this run considering this is only my third week at it.

I've got a similar route from my house only I turn up Bennetts Lane and then run home along prom. I called it the Brick Works circuit.
Bit smelly past the treatment plant though. Crossing the line can slow you if train is coming.
Ave speed is picking up I see.
Like John says, your average speed is improving which must be very pleasing. The hard work is paying off. Don't stop!
Ah yes, the level crossing! John has a route that involves a level crossing. He does not do that one very much because checking for trains slows you down. If a train happens to come along at the wrong time, then you have to unfortunately stop. Well, it's best!
Now the science bit: When you are forced to slow down or stop, your heart rate drops and your oxygen levels also drop as a result. This immediately affects performance.
You lose your rhythm, your brain relaxes and it is difficult to get going again.
This is probably why you felt good up to the level crossing but began to feel not so good afterwards.
It is probably better to run a route where you do not need to slow down or stop, thereby, maintaining the same rhythm.
I have noticed that you're now using Level 19 Satellite mode to record your routes.
Yes, you should be pleased with your run. Three weeks... may long it continue.
I have noticed that only the last seven posts are being displayed on your main page. There then is a link to "older posts" thereafter.
You can amend the number of posts shown per page by clicking on the "Formatting" Tab from within the "Settings" Tab when you're logged into your Google Account.
There is a field called "Show" where you may specify a number of posts or a number of days worth of posts to be shown.
