Very Tough Water Works Loop

Judging by the wind today I decided to go with the Water Works Loop as it is much more sheltered than my prom route.

I had been feeling pretty rough all day today with a dodgy stomach and I wasn't going to run but my missus told me to get out there and that I would be alright so I did.

This run felt very tough going as I already had a bit of a cough and it seemed like I was heavy and slow on my feet. There were many times when I thought about just stopping and walking for a little while but I managed to keep going which I was pleased about.

Anyway I managed to get around the circuit without stopping but struggled all the way.

Stats:
Start Time: 19:20
Duration: 23:56 minutes
Distance: 4.7 km
Avg. Speed: 11.78 kph

I am pleased with this result for what I thought was a slow and very tough run. Afterwards my back was pretty sore and the cough was pretty bad but I feel ok now.

I see that you did your told and went out for a run! ;-)

Still a steady average speed obtained despite your ailments.

Yeah gotta do what you're told!!
:->
I think my pace will stay where it is at the moment for a while. What I need to start doing is building up the distance on my runs.
Cheers Mike
